Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow has been a long time supporter of Israel and their agenda to repress Palestinians overseas and in the U.S. Despicable Debbie has earned her nickname with her unwavering support for Israel’s slaughter of Palestinians by signing onto the Strengthening the Israel-U.S. Alliance Act that aids Israel with $3.8 billion in military aid funded by U.S. tax dollars. Debbie's commented on her reason for signing by stating, “Today’s vote sends a message at a critical time in our history about America’s standing in the world – that we are still a beacon of democracy for nations everywhere, that our country remains grounded in our American values of freedom, that our allies can continue to count on our leadership, and that our enemies know our resolve. Although the path to final passage was painstaking, today’s vote is a victory for our national security and democracy across the globe.” Despicable Debbie’s idea of democracy includes the massacre of 39,000 innocent plus Palestinians, including over 15,000 children.
Senator Stabenow has endorsed multiple bills that align with Israel’s colonial project of Palestine. Debbie has signed the Iran nuclear agreement and supported legislation opposing UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which declared that Israeli settlements lack legal validity. She also co-sponsored the Combating BDS Act of 2017, aimed at countering the boycott movement against Israel, attacking free speech concerning Palestine on college campuses.
Additionally, she co-sponsored the United States-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act of 2018, which called for full funding of security assistance to Israel as stipulated in the 2016 U.S.-Israel Memorandum of Understanding. In 2019, she voted in favor of the Strengthening America’s Middle East Security Act, which, among other measures, bolstered Israel’s security and permitted state or local governments to divest from entities that boycott Israel.
