Illinois Representative Jan Schakowsky has earned the moniker "Sneaky Schakowsky" due to her recent controversial positions on Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of Israeli hostages and the treatment of Palestinians in Gaza, coupled with her acceptance of funds from pro-Israel lobby groups that advocate for Israeli military interests. On Jan’s congressional website, she expressed wanting to ensure a better life and peace for both Israelis and Palestinians all while advocating for the “funding and weapons sales for the Jewish state...” The weapons Jan is referring to Israel needing to defend themselves have killed over 39,000 Palestinians, with more than of that death toll being 15,000 children.
Sneaky Schakowsky held a press conference to justify her vote to send $16.6 billion dollars to Israel’s military by signing the Israel Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2023. Jan stated, “While I continue to support assistance that enables Israel to protect itself against Iran and other adversaries, the Biden Administration must do more to make clear that this is not a blank check to the Netanyahu government.” Jan’s statement is filled with contradictions, being that the Palestinian people have endured 10 months of non-stop bombardments from Israel’s military, and the supplementary act Jan signed finances their slaughter. Jan can continue to play both sides, but we know she is bought out by Israel and is willing to support their agenda.

This village was ethnically cleaned in 1948 during the Nakba. The archaeological site at Tel Lachish itself is known for its significant historical ruins, including remains from ancient Canaanite and biblical periods.
