California Representative Jimmy Panetta has served in congress for 4 terms now and during that time he has solidified his support for Israel through his legislative voting power. AIPAC paid Jimmy $258,071 in campaign money in exchange for his unequivocal support for Pro-Israel bills that pass through Congress. Representative Jimmy Panetta has voted in favor of all military aid packages all while pandering to his constituents that he cares about the humanitarian crisis occurring in Gaza. The bombs and military weaponry that Jimmy Panetta approved to send to Israel has killed over 39,000 Palestinians and destroyed the topography of Gaza. April 2024, Pernicious Panetta signed the Strengthening of Israel-U.S. Alliance Act, which provides Israel with $3.8 billion to spend on weaponry. In that same month, Jimmy released a statement on his website urging for more tax dollars to be sent to Israel’s military. Jimmy wrote, “Speaker Mike Johnson must put the Senate Supplemental Aid package on the floor of the House of Representatives for a vote as soon as possible.” while also adding, “Together, we must rise to this challenge to ensure a secure future for Israel and our democratic allies around the globe.” Jimmy has sold his soul to AIPAC, and is sacrificing Palestinians lives to satisfy the lobby group’s interests.
Pernicious Panetta joined a group of congress members to visit Israel in January 2024 and discussed the pressure, “to continue their negotiations for a quick and peaceful resolution to this very complex and difficult conflict.” This statement is incredibly misleading since Jimmy did not sponsor the ceasefire resolution introduced by Missouri Rep. Cori Bush. Jimmy also voted against Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s resolution to recognize the ongoing Nakba to call attention to Israel’s genocide of Gazans. Pernicious Panetta’s legislative voting record shows that he does not support peace in the region, instead it tells a story of his unwavering support for Israel’s agenda to colonize Palestine.
