California Representative Juan Vargas has proven his loyalty to Israeli lobby groups, since they cut the checks he needs to be elected. The most notable piece of legislation Representative Juan has signed onto was the Strengthening the Israel-U.S. Alliance Act, which provides Israel with $3.8 billion to spend on their military. Vargas published a statement regarding the bill to his website reading, “I applaud President Biden for continuing to demonstrate that our commitment to Israel’s security is unwavering, including by providing critical military supplies needed to defeat Hamas.” The military supplies Vargas and other U.S. lawmakers sent to Israel allowed their military to murder over 39,000 Palestinians including more than 15,000 children. The following month, Vargas made another contradicting statement criticizing lawmakers for, “slowing down weapons shipments to Israel will also negatively impact the flows of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.” Which is a complete insult to the actual needs of Palestinians stuck in Gaza, a population demanding a permeate ceasefire.
Representative Juan Vargas also introduced a bill alongside Tennessee Representative Diana Harshbarger to congress in January 2024, the United States-Abraham Accords Cooperation and Security Act of 2024 (H.R. 7155), calling for the establishment of a U.S. FDA Bureau in the Abraham Accords region. Vicious Vargas detailed the plan by stating it will, “establish an FDA office in Israel. This legislation will increase economic ties and promote peace between our countries and our Abraham Accord Partners.” Diana continued by adding the bill will lessen, “Our continued dependence on foreign countries, especially our adversaries such as China, for pharmaceutical products endangers our medical supply chains and jeopardizes our national security.” This proves that Vicious Vargas has deep financial ties to Israel, and will use his voting power to protect Israeli interests to fatten his pockets.
