Massachusetts Representative Katherine Clark is a firm supporter of Israel as long as AIPAC keeps her campaign funded. Katherine has earned her nickname Clown Clark, since her speeches tried to express sympathy for Gazans all while signing off on checks that fund Israel’s genocide project. Representative Clark thinks her constituents cannot Google her pro-Israel record as long as she panders her “humanitarian talk” to them. So it comes as no surprise that Representative Katherine Clark signed onto the Strengthening of Israel-U.S. Alliance Act, which provides Israel with $3.8 billion in unconditional military aid. Katherine defended her vote by stating, “we are not simply living through history. We are shaping it. We have the opportunity today to shape a future that is more just, more equitable.” Katherine’s idea of a just future is allowing Israel to kill and wound over hundreds of thousands Palestinian civilians.
In a November 2023 statement Clark stated, “I am grateful a temporary ceasefire agreement has been reached to return Israeli hostages to their anguished families and provide innocent civilians in Gaza with desperately needed aid.” This statement contradicts Clark’s past vote, in which she voted against a ceasefire resolution. Clown Clark mentioned Gazans in her statement but then also voted against McCollum Palestinian Rights Resolution, which bars the Israeli government from using U.S. taxpayer funds in the Occupied West Bank for the military detention, mistreatment, or abuse of Palestinian children in Israeli custody. Clearly Representative Clark does not care about humanitarian efforts, but instead is more concerned about AIPAC’s agenda to support Israel no matter the cost.
