Alabama senator, “Kickback” Katie has proven to be a firm ally of Israel’s slaughter of Palestinians for the price of $111,975. Katie visited Israel in late October 2023 and returned to hold a press conference stating, “Israel has every right to defend herself, and not only the right, they have the obligation, the obligation to their children and their children’s children. They have an obligation to the innocent.” Clearly Katie doesn’t count the 39,000+ Palestinian civilians, including over 15,000 children murdered by Israeli bombs as innocent. During the press conference, Katie’s voice trembled with no tears in sight to describe how she listened to Israeli hostages' families, “as a mom” while “thinking what these families are going through, thinking what each individual hostage is going through, is absolutely unbearable.” All while doubling down to reject the November negotiations to free all Israeli hostages in exchange for a ceasefire in Gaza. Katie has advocated for the genocide to continue until Hamas is completely eradicated.
Katie Boyd has signed on to a number of Pro-Israel bills, including co-sponsoring the Stop Anti-Semitism on College Campuses Act. This act conflates anti-zionism as anti-semitism in response to university students across the U.S. protesting Israeli’s bombardment of Palestine on college campuses. This act promises to revoke federal education funding designated to colleges and universities if they “peddle antisemitism or authorize, fund or facilitate events that promote violent antisemitism.” The main sponsor of this bill, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott wrote it in response to Students for Justice in Palestine university chapter groups hosting marches and events in support of Palestine. Senator Katie is working alongside her colleagues to diminish free speech on college campuses across the U.S. that speak out against the genocide happening in Palestine. Kickback Katie has sold her soul to Israeli lobbyists at the cost of U.S. tax dollars and the integrity of the higher education system.
