Similar to his Alabama colleagues, Messy Mike backed the military package deal to fund Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan. U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers is the chair of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, making him responsible for defense policy and ongoing military operations. During a press release Mike stated, “As both an American and a Christian, I believe in defending freedom - especially when it comes to Israel. It is critical the U.S. stands up for Israel, supporting our greatest ally in the conflicted Middle East.” During this same press release Mike gloated about his state’s involvement in Israel’s bombardment of Gaza by stating, “I am also proud to note that Alabama will take part in helping protect Israel as production of Iron Dome parts will take place in our great state.”
Just this past April Raytheon, the world’s second largest weapons manufacture, began its $115 million expansion at a Alabama missile factory to continue its collaboration to build weapons used on Palestinians. Raytheon has supplied, “Israeli Air Force with guided air-to-surface missiles for its F-16 fighter jets, as well as cluster bombs and bunker busters, which have consistently been used against Gaza's civilian population and infrastructure.” Messy Mike is a proud speaker at AIPAC Policy conferences in the past and is dedicated to selling out for the highest bidder.
