Illinois Representative Sean Casten has been dubbed "Corrupt Casten" for his legislative support of the Israeli military, despite representing a state with the largest Palestinian population in the U.S. Corrupt Casten's April 2024 press statement in support of the Strengthening the Israel-U.S. Alliance Act stated that, “this supplemental funding package helps Israel safeguard its people against pressing threats from Hamas and Iran. It is crucial that we replenish these defense systems and help Israel maintain military readiness.” This act designated $3.8 billion of U.S. tax-paying dollars to continue to fund Israeli genocidal operations in Gaza. Sean is no stranger to supporting pro-Israel bills, having signed onto 10 major bills since 2018. Proving that his vote and soul can be sold for the right price.
